HARD of HEARING GRADS HONORED

Ten local high school seniors with hearing loss were given scholarships by the Hearing Loss Association of America-Rochester chapter at the organization’s annual dinner meeting. They were honored with their parents as special guests at the event, which took place on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at the Cobblestone Creek Country Club, in Victor. This marks the 15th year the chapter has awarded grants to such students towards the costs of college education or vocational training. The scholarship fund was established by a donation from Mr. and Mrs. Stuart MacDonald, chapter member Sue Miller’s parents.

Each of the graduates received $1000, made possible by the chapter’s Walk4Hearing yearly fundraiser.
